What We Stand For
RISE Prep Academy is an innovative educational program that provides a nontraditional pathway for young men to achieve academic excellence, leadership development, and transformative enrichment opportunities.
Through individualized learning plans, community partnerships, social-emotional learning, and impact mentorship, we meet each student where he is and help him RISE.
To cultivate a generation of confident young men who rise above challenges through innovative learning and lasting community impact.
Founder & Licensed K-12 Principal
Richard is the founder of RISE Prep Academy and a licensed K-12 principal. He holds a B.S. in Communication from North Central University, an M.A. from the University of Northwestern – St. Paul, and an Ed.S. with Principal Licensure from Concordia University, St. Paul, MN. He leads by the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: “Intelligence plus character—that is the goal of true education.”
Lead Teacher
Andre is a licensed social studies educator for grades 5–12 and earned his B.S. in Education from Metropolitan State University in 2019. He teaches in the spirit of Fred Hampton’s words: “We say that we will work with anybody and form a coalition with anybody that has revolution on their mind.”
